About mid-way through our trip, the day came when our family experienced the journey of driving up one of America’s most iconic mountains, Pikes Peak. Throughout the journey, there was so much to see, from the bighorn sheep near the summit, to the large groves of aspen trees at the base, it was personally my favorite trip highlight. Below is a map featuring the route we took in black, along with some breathtaking photos from this well known landmark. Unfortunately I was not able to acquire any of my photos due to technical issues, so none of what you will see below are my photos.

We saw something very similar to this photo except that there was less snow on the distant mountains.
